Camp Ramah in New England is an overnight Jewish summer camp for kids and teens located on 90 acres in Palmer, Massachusetts. The camp has been in existence since 1953 and welcomes up to 700 campers per session. When major upgrades to the property were required, ownership hired Bowerman Construction as General Contractor to complete the largest planned improvement, the construction of the Chadar Ochel (Dining Hall/Event Space).

This new ground up state of the art dining/kitchen facility includes a kosher kitchen, bakery, 10,000 sf training/teaching kitchen, dining hall, dish room, restrooms and multiple commercial coolers and freezers. The new facility is heated and air conditioned in order to be available year round and will serve over 2,400 meals per day for the summer campers, staff and community. The building is 25,000 sf and has been designed to accommodate approximately 1000 occupants/ campers. The facility also includes an attached Pavilion for outdoor/weather protected meals and events.

Bowerman  was pleased to team with BH+A, Camp Ramah senior leadership and camp staff. We are proud of the excellent working relationship and teaming atmosphere established during the design and construction process and look forward to continuing that relationship in the future
